MULBERRY’S MONSTER CAMPAIGN

How awesome is Mulberry’s Where The Wild Things Are-esque new campaign starring Lindsey Wixon? Good job Mulbs!

LABEL LOVE: HERMIONE DE PAULA

I met Hermione de Paula backstage at her very first solo in the Freemason’s Hall as part of Vauxhall Fashion Scout. I was just starting out in fashion journalism at the time, assisting Melanie on the FEAL blog, and she was just finding her feet in the world of design, but it was clear to everybody (including Daphne Guinness, who praised her pieces as nothing short of ‘magnificent’) that her gift for prints was inimitable.

Fast-forward a few years and the girl’s doing great. She’s giving us soft florals which are beautiful but never syrupy sweet, in a multitude of wearable cuts. My favourites from this season’s collection? The track-style silken shorts…

TREND OBSESSION: RIPPED DENIM

I’m not quite sure how this happened, but I like ripped denim again.

I’ve purchased a pair of bleached-out, torn-up boyfriend jeans which I’m wearing with slouchy T-shirts, a black studded blazer and super-high wedges.

It feels so right to deviate from restrictive skinnies for summer and I’m not the only one who thinks so…
