If ever I get a penchant for a slightly obscure fashion item that’s not readily available on the high street I always turn to ASOS. With such unimaginably huge stock levels it always seems to come through for me, no matter how unusual my whim.
It’s for exactly this reason that the ASOS press day is one of the best to attend in my opinion. This season it was full of fanciful, colourful, quirky pieces embellished to the hilt, and my favourite bits of frippery were the pom poms…

Alexander Wang’s pared-back Americana sportswear aesthetic has been a peripheral trend for a few seasons now, making a notable impact on the catwalks that never quite trickling down to the high street. Things are about to change however; SS12 will be the season the sporty trend really hits its stride.
Isabel Marant is leading the charge this time with American football jerseys and track pants, as well her very controversial Willow wedge trainers (like Marmite in their ability to divide opinion).
