PARIS ON THE BRAIN

Though another city has been on my mind at the moment (which may be revealed in due course) Paris seems to be bombarding me this week.

Firstly, I started reading Julia Child’s love letter to Paris My Life in France (it’s got me pining for pretty much anything you can purchase at a boulangerie); secondly, this evening I’m having dinner with a friend who will be moving to Paris in the Autumn (her boyfriend is also a chef. Some girls have all the luck!); thirdly, Stylist’s Paris issue

Producing the entire magazine from Hotel Des Champs-Élysées (where the rooms have been given a facelift courtesy of Maison Martin Margiela) this collector’s edition is the perfect ode to the city.

Merci Stylist for brightening up my morning commute with your dreamy couture spread!

JAEGER’S CELINE LOOK-ALIKE BAG

The best thing about going to press days is sussing out where each label’s strengths lie, so you can just cut to the chase and get those future must-have pieces as soon as the new season drops (case in point: the pink pleated Carrie skirt from Whistles. I saw so many editors wearing them at Fashion Week in February, and before long you couldn’t lay hands on one for love nor money).

Jaeger is my tip for handbags this AW.  Don’t miss the Celine-alike at a fraction of the cost.

Celine shopper? Is that you?

CAN’T STOP WEARING…

Hope everybody is enjoying the sunshine! Just thought I would share the outfit I can’t stop wearing at the moment:

Topshop dress, Vintage bucket bag, Sunglasses from a market in Thailand, shoes by Bell Sigerson Morrison.
